St. Clement's Church, Branksome, Poole, Dorset
Sometimes referred to as St. Clement's, Parkstone, the church was consecrated in 1889 and was designed by Romaine-Walker & Tanner. Built of Purbeck Stone with a timber bellcote with shingled spirelet. Newman and Pevsner say that the church was "given by Viscount Wimborne (of Canford) and [was] orginally an isolated heathland chapel; now enveloped by bungalows and overlooked by the megalithic Ryvita silos." The Ryvita factory is still on the Old Wareham Road nearby, although the silos seem less prominent now. Branksome St. Clement formed part of Kinson parish until 1904.
