St. George's Church, Oakdale, Poole, Dorset
By Potter & Hare (1959-60). Since 1996, it has been classified by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building. Nicholas Taylor in the Buildings of England volume comments that the interior is attractive: "The side walls are canted and the altar set centrally under a spreading roof with plenty of natural light and Scandinavian-style timberwork." The gabled west tower (or campanile) - described by Taylor as "rather self-conscious" - contains a light ring of six bells.
