Hawkchurch, Devon (St. John the Baptist)
Hawkchurch was in Dorset until boundary changes in the nineteenth century. The church was rebuilt in 1859-61 under the direction of John Hicks of Dorchester. This retained some twelfth- and thirteenth-century features, including the twelfth-century corbel table. The west tower is Perpendicular, with Ham Hill stone dressings.
